JUST ENOUGH LIGHT FOR THE STEP YOU’RE ON: LEARNING TO WALK

Joshua 3:13–17

When the Israelites reached the overflowing Jordan River, God did not stop the water before the priests moved. The waters parted when their feet stepped into the river.

Faith does not require us to see the entire journey—it requires us to trust God enough to take the next step.

Walking with God is a learned process of faith, humility, and obedience. There will be valleys, mountains, rough terrain, and narrow pathways. Old habits and fear may tell us to turn back, but God’s grace will give us strength to keep moving forward.

Dependency on God is not weakness—it is wisdom. He provides direction when we are uncertain, strength when we are weary, and just enough light for the step we are on. You may not know what tomorrow holds, but you can trust the One holding your hand today.

Take the first step. The same God who opened the Jordan can make a way through what stands before you.

At Calvary, Jesus entered the darkness of death and arose with all power, becoming the Light of our salvation and the assurance that no obstacle is greater than our God.

You do not need to see the whole path. Trust God, take His hand, and walk in the light He has given you today.

Prayer: Lord, teach us to trust You with every step. Help us release our fears and depend completely upon You. Lead us through every valley and into Your purpose for our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
