Our History

 

LIFE Christian Fellowship Inc. (LCF) is a non-denominational, bible teaching church founded in March 2019 by Bishop Dr. Clarence McClain after seeking the Lord for guidance and direction. LCF operates under the Charter of Citadel Ministries International (CMI), Bishop Dr. Geroge B. Jackson, Presiding Prelate. Our Leader has a heart for teaching the Word of God and believes that Learning Is For Ever. This ministry was birth out of a vision where the Word of God would be the foundation for transforming the lives of those who seek "REAL CHANGE." 

 

Beginning with about five members having bible study in the Bishop's home study office and joining in Sunday worship services with Brighter Hope Christian Fellowship, God quickly provided a worship space for Life Christian Fellowship. On the First Sunday in May 2019, we had our first service at our new home, 326 S. Main St., Franklinton, NC 27525. The space provided us with opportunities to connect with and minister to those in need through our Community Outreach  Cookout and clothing giveaway, Thanksgiving and Christmas turkey giveaway and Ministerial counseling.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, along with all churches we closed our doors in compliance with the mandated shutdown. But, we know: "when one door is shut. God will open a window." Bishop McClain, had already instituted WebEx bible study in an attempt to reach more people. Now this would become our primary medium of ministry. Transitioning from WebEx to Zoom we now hold all our services via Zoom and Facebook Live. During these unprecedented times, we have learned not to focus on what we cannot do, but rather on what we can​. For through Christ, all things are possible. Ministry must go forward, and IT DID.

Once the CDC guidelines were relaxed we began to gather again within Bishop and Lady Ann 's home for Sunday Services, but still holding bible study via Zoom and Facebook live. However, 

Bishop Dr. McClain, being the visionary that he is received the idea from the Lord to create a space to gather for service and obtained a storage/utility building and upfitted it into a church space for us to gather, with the assistance of Minister Roderick Barnes. For through Christ, all things are possible. Ministry must go forward, and IT DID.

Looking forward to the direction that God is sending us in, Bishop  appointed Sister Patricia Barnes as the Christian Education Director, in February 2022.

In March 2022, Bishop ordained Sisters Betty Coleman and Betty Kearney to the Office of Deacon.

In May 2022, Bishop licensed Lady Ann McClain to Preach the Gospel and later that year Minister Barnes was ordained as Elder. December 2022 we held our first "Be4Real Conference" at Myrtle Beach, SC.

September 2023 Minister/Lady McClain was ordained as an Elder. God has truly been blessing L.I.F.E. Christian Fellowship, Inc as we hold fast to our Five-Fold Mission. In 2023,God lead Bishop to form Nehemiah Ministry Inc., as an umbrella covering for ministries of like minds.  As of January 7, 2024 He has blessed us with a new in-person worship site as we partner with Passage Home at 513 Branch St. Raleigh, NC 27610 to provide spiritual services and outreach to the community. 

During our time at Passage Home, ministry thrived through weekly services and bible study; including special services such as Mother’s day service, Memorial and Veterans services and Our very first Easter Sunrise service. We were also blessed to carry our Be4Real Conference to Columbia, SC at Citadel of the Word. Bishop, Elder Ann, and Deacon Coleman went to California to participate in the Concencration of Elder Cameron Mays to the Bishopric. Membership increased and partnerships were forged. Our community outreach endeavors continued through Food, Clothing, and Back to School assistance, Movie nights, and College Scholarship assistance.

May 2025 we were informed that we would not have access to the space until January 2026, because of renovations and found ourselves back to ZOOM and small-group services, but We believe and walk by faith the scripture Romans 8:28 " And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (KJV), that God will lead us, as we follow Him, where HE will have us to go and what HE will have us to do. For through Christ all things are possible! Ministry must go forward, and IT WILL.​
